Meet Sam
Sam joined Yova in January 2026 as Project Manager on the Norwich Main substation extension, working on the expansion of the existing 400kV site.
He brings project management experience from a surprisingly broad range of sectors, including local government, education, engineering, events and the charity sector.
What ties it all together is a focus on bringing people together, creating clear governance and turning complex work into achievable outcomes.
Before joining Yova, Sam worked as a Project Manager within local government, leading Generative AI adoption and service transformation projects in a politically governed environment. Earlier roles included project and leadership positions supporting clients including BAE Systems, Anglian Water and Higgins Construction.

Developing competency frameworks
Sam holds an MSc in Project Management and is qualified in PRINCE2 and Agile Project Management. He also worked for a project management consultancy while studying, helping develop competency frameworks for project professionals.
Moving things forward
Adaptability is one of Sam’s strengths. He’s comfortable when plans change, communicates clearly and keeps looking for ways to move things forward.
